Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Keepio collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

Keepio does not collect any personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.). The app only stores:

  • Content you create: projects, tasks, notes, and tags
  • Metadata: creation dates, progress status, and organizational settings

2. Data Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synchronized via your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

3. Third-Party Services

Keepio uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple CloudKit: For optional iCloud synchronization across your devices
  • Apple App Store: For processing premium in-app purchases
  • Sentry GmbH (sentry.io): For anonymous crash reporting — no IP address, no device identifier, no personal data is collected. Data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • TelemetryDeck UG (telemetrydeck.com): For optional anonymous usage analytics, only when you grant explicit consent. Data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.

4. Crash Reports & Analytics

Keepio uses two privacy-respecting services to keep the app reliable and to understand which features matter:

  • Crash reports (Sentry): Sent automatically and anonymously when the app crashes. No personal data, no device identifier, no IP address. Used solely to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck): Opt-in only, controlled by you in Settings → Privacy. When enabled, anonymous events are sent (which features are used, how often). Never includes personal data such as project names, note contents, or task titles.

You can revoke analytics consent at any time in Settings → Privacy. Crash reports remain anonymous and active by default to ensure the app stays stable.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

In compliance with GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access your data at any time within the app
  • Delete all your data directly from the app
  • Disable iCloud synchronization via your iOS Settings
  • Request information about your data by contacting us

6. Children's Privacy

Keepio does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All data synchronized via iCloud is encrypted using Apple's security protocols.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or our website.
